Thank you so much for your interest in my artwork! I will only be taking 5 commissions per year throughout 2019, as I work to update my website with a variety of paintings, prints and products for you. Contact me for a commissioned piece with no obligation to purchase. You will be notified shortly if your request has been accepted for a slot, and we can discuss specific sizing and pricing from there. Prices are based on the size of the painting. The only requirement is that the subject and style remain true to my own body of work. Typically I will take a brief from you and establish, size, subject, colour-scheme for agreement prior to commencing the piece. A 20% non-refundable deposit is required upon commencement of the commissioned piece.
How to order
- Decide on the size of your painting and keep in mind to add 2-3 cm on all sides in case of a frame. If you need a little help to determine the size of your painting, I can recommend using newspaper or cardboard to try out some different sizes and arrangements.
- Find your inspiration by browsing through my galleries and let me know the works, colours or elements you like. I also work with fabric, paint and (wall-)paper swatches or interior collages / photos.
- Once we have decided on a size, subject and colour palette the painting process can start.
It takes between 4-6 weeks to create your unique painting. Once completed photographs of the painting as a whole, as well as detailed photo’s will be send for approval. Any minor adjustments can be then made. After your final approval your new painting is professionally packaged. The painting can be collected at the studio, or will be either brought to you or shipped to you with the utmost care*. If the final painting is not approved, I will not require the remaining outstanding balance and will attempt to sell the painting from my studio. All prices are for an unframed, original acrylic mixed media painting on stretched canvas, with painted edges and hanging hardware installed on the back. Paintings come with a certificate of authenticity. All copyrights remain with Nicole Cijs, unless agreed in writing otherwise.
